Tola Oshobi

Tola Oshobi attended the University of Ibadan, where he obtained an LL. B (Hons.) degree in 1994. He was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1995 after obtaining a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School. Since his call to the bar he has been continuously engaged in all aspects of litigation and dispute resolution before all the superior courts in Nigeria, as well as other tribunals, in the process garnering over 20 (twenty) years of extensive litigation and advocacy experience. Since 2004, he has been a partner in Babalakin & Co, one of the largest and busiest full-service commercial law firms in Nigeria. He served as the head of litigation and dispute resolution at the firm for more than 12 (twelve) years. He has also garnered considerable, cognate, practical experience in real property law and practice, tax advisory, corporate and commercial law and practice, infrastructure concession and mining law. Tola has also acted as counsel in a number of arbitral proceedings. He has authored and co-authored several articles on various aspects of law. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the International Bar Association, and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. Tola was conferred with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 2017.
